Upcoming Specials
The NJ outdoor season is just getting underway, but its still fairly cold
outside. The operating hours and rates will remain in effect until at
least May (depending on weather. When consistent warm weather does
arrive there will be many special offers (these will be announced by email
and on the website). Be sure to get on the Hoboken Golf email
distribution list.
Members will receive at least ONE free month! So long as you hold an
active membership during the months of April & May, you will receive June
free. September will also likely be a free month (unless it is an
unusually hot summer).
New & Noteworthy
Recently a second television was added
above the second golf simulator. This means that golfers on both
simulators can now watch television while they play. No need to
miss golf events, Yankee/Mets games, basketball playoffs, hockey
playoffs while you play golf. Plans are in the works for
additional upgrades to occur late summer/early fall.
Time To Regrip?
Worn grips cause a lasting negative
effect on a golf swing. A golfer with worn grips will grip more
tightly and make a less relaxed swing. If this becomes habit, the
golfer will need to retrain him or herself for proper grip pressure.
The golfer will also wear out gloves faster! Some Golfers hold off
buying new grips because of plans to buy new clubs - but why risk a
detrimental affect to your golf swing? Hoboken Golf sells grips

Spike Changes Available:
Hoboken Golf carries all
types of spikes for many different golf shoes. Hoboken Golf will
install your spikes, clean your shoes and spray them with silicone so
your shoes even more waterproof. Considering Hoboken these days -
an extra coat of silicone is something we can all use on our golf
shoes...
How Are Your Lie Angles?
A club's lie angle is simply the
angle between the shaft and the ground when the club is soled
properly. If this angle is too upright or too flat the result
will be poor contact and pulling or pushing. Come into Hoboken
Golf anytime in April and have your Lie Angle checked free of
charge!
